Irene Eng is an instructor-industry professional who brings thirty years of experience as a physician assistant to St. John’s University. Her teaching experience includes over 15 years as a mentor for physician assistant students and residents in medical training. Her clinical career includes 10 years of general surgery practice and work experience in urology, urgent care, and obstetrics and gynecology. Professor Eng has been certified by the physician assistant profession since 1993 through to 2018. Professor Eng also serves a faculty moderator and advisor for the cultural diversity club at the Dr. Andrew J. Bartilucci Center. Professor Eng is an active member of both the New York State Society of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
