Frank X. Vazquez
Dr. Vazquez comes to St. John's University as an Assistant Professor in the chemistry department. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Michigan. His work is focused on using computational methods to understand how small scale molecular interactions lead to the formation of large scale structures. Before coming to St. John's, Dr. Vazuez worked at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY. His research focused on understanding the molecular level causes of Huntington's disease. He has been coauthor on several journal publications in his field, as well as being a presenter at a number of seminars and workshops. Presently he is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Chicano/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) and a member of the American Chemical Society.
