Ministry to youth and young adults occurs throughout the works
sponsored by Eastern Province Vincentians. We have established a
two special sites and programs to minister to groups of young
people.
Designed collaboratively by Vincentian layman Sean Sanford and
Vincentian priest, AidanĀ Rooney, the Youth & Young Adult
ministries at St. Joseph's Seminary in Princeton, NJ help
individuals and groups of young people from universities,
workplaces, schools and parishes learn about the call to leadership
and gospel activism in the Vincentian tradition. Guided by a
four-part program called the "WORX" process (for "Work,
Organization, Relationships, and eXperience") St. Joseph's offers
retreat and formation programs that includes: the inner life,
worship life, reflective service, and justice-oriented
activism.
The St. Vincent de Paul Youth Center for Service, founded in
2001 by the late Br. Joe Tauraso, C.M., is located in the
Germantown section of Philadelphia near St. Francis of Assisi
Parish. The Center provides opportunities for community service,
prayer, reflection, and community building for school and parish
groups of young people in flexible time periods, such as for a
weekend, week, or a semester break program.
