On February 13, we begin the sacred season of Lent. It offers an
opportunity to see with new eyes and a renewed heart. Our theme,
“The Door of Faith…Always Open,” invites us to rediscover and renew
our relationship with Christ and his Church.
This Year of Faith is a chance for Catholics to experience a
conversion of heart. Pope Benedict XVI has described this
transformation as opening the “door of faith.”
Along life’s journey, we may have known moments of feeling lost
or estranged from our sense of self, our relationships, our faith
and our God — distant from love and value.
During Lent, join us as we walk through the door of faith and
deepen our relationship with Jesus. It is a time to reconcile,
restore and heal those broken parts of ourselves.
St. John’s Campus Ministry invites you to take advantage of a
wide range of programs for this Lenten Season. There are a variety
of ways that we can experience Lent — you can help those most in
need, learn about problems in the world that need change,
experience different prayer styles and rediscover yourself and the
presence of God in your life. We invite you to explore the event
calendars and the accompanying pages.
The door of faith is always open to you!
