BE A SAINT

BE A SAINT

BE THE SAINT IN ST. JOHN'S

Pray Learn Serve

This Spring Semester, you are invited to  Be A Saint.

This Semester, you are invited to Be a Saint!

This Campus Ministry initiative invites you to grow and learn about our University’s Catholic and Vincentian identity and how it can help transform your life and the life of the St. John’s community.

Throughout the semester, you are invited to grow closer to God through prayer.  Different prayer opportunities are offered to transform your heart and to deepen your spirituality.

You are also invited to learn about the Holy Men and Women who were the light of Christ for others.  Through the “Heroes of our Faith” program, you can learn about the lives of the Saints and further develop your own vocation.

Finally, you are invited to serve.  Deeply rooted in our Catholic and Vincentian mission, you will have the opportunity to serve the University community by simple acts of kindness as well as opportunities to serve those in need throughout the larger New York community.

For more information on any of the Be a Saint programs, please contact Dennis Gallagher at gallagd1@stjohns.edu, call (718) 990-2125 or stop into the St. Thomas More Church office.

Heroes of Our Faith

Heroes of Our Faith is a way for us to see extraordinary examples of courage, selflessness and generosity in the lives of the hero’s of our faith.  So often we struggle to find credible role models to emulate.  This lecture series brings to life the stories of people who listened for God’s Word in their heart and acted on it.
