Lent is 40 days of preparation for the celebration of Easter. In
this time, the Church asks us to pray, fast and to help the poor in
an effort to renew our lives. Imagine how you will do this in your
life...
There are many familiar events on the Lenten Calendar for the
Queens Campus, our Mass schedule, our annual Walk for the Homeless,
the Creative Ministries presentation of the Stations of the Cross
to name a few. There is a whole schedule of new events that
are designed to help you imagine how this Lent might bring you
closer to your God. See a play “It Happened One Morning“,
learn about meditation or come to the Last Lecture St John’s.

Book of Prayer
Located in the narthex of the Church, you are invited to list the
names of family, relatives and friends for whom you wish to pray
during Lent. Remembering someone who died or praying for someone
who is sick or dealing with a difficult time in their lives is an
important part of our faith. The intensions are remembered each day
at Mass.
