Student Ministry Formation
Queens and Staten Island
Student Ministry Formation trainings offers students who have had previous ministry experiences in their high schools or parishes, as well as those students seeking to learn more about the St. John’s ministry opportunities, to prepare and participate in service to the St. John’s faith community.  Throughout the fall and spring semester, students are afforded the opportunity to train and actively participate in hands-on ministry as lectures, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, altar servers and retreat leaders.   This formation program recognizes our Vincentian mandate, "God has sent me to preach the good news to the poor."  This invitation is open to all those seeking to deepen their understanding of themselves as being sent out on mission into life.
