St. Augustine Hall, Queens Campus
As we celebrate Founder’s
Week 2009, we allow God’s love to transform us, living lives of
virtue, working zealously to heal hearts and to alleviate poverty,
This will reconcile individuals, families, communities, and create
peace in the world. Founder’s Week 2009 urges the St. John’s
community to become the transformers needed in the 21st
century.

“Vincentian Transformations: Changing Hearts, Creating Peace”
Professor J. Adolphe
Students answer the following question in words and drawings:
In an increasingly shrinking global community, and by virtue of the
fact that you attend a university that strives to promote peaceful
solutions to issues of poverty and injustice and to foster social
responsibility, describe how you foresee using your talents to
transform yourself, your peers, your environment, your industry, or
all of the aforementioned into a positive, creative catalyst for
justice and peace. How will you spend the talents you have?
