Founder's Week 1995

Love Reaches out to All
Founder's Week: January 22 - 27, 1995

"Love is inventive unto infinity." - St. Vincent de Paul

As a Catholic university in the Vincentian Tradition, St. John's focuses on using one's talents and skills to make the world a better place. But how did this centuries-long commitment arise?

In this, the first Founder's Week observance, we focus on the invaluable contributions of St. Vincent de Paul to Church and society. Vincent imbued our Community with the values of service, justice, and charity.  We at St. John's University gratefully consider the person behind the Mission as we explore the core value of “Love-extending minds and hearts to nurture one’s own and another’s good.”
