Deborah C. Saldana is an urban educator. She prepares in-service
and pre-serviceteachers to work with students who are economically,
socially, ethnically and linguistically different from the
mainstream student population. Currently, Dr. Saldana is an
Associate Professor, Department of Early Childhood, Childhood, and
Adolescent Education at St. John's The School of Education and
teaches elementary and secondary education majors at the
undergraduate and graduate levels. She holds an Ed.D. from the
University of Houston, TX.
