Deirdre Breslin is the Director of Academic Programs, Project
ReConnect in St. John’s The School of Education and a Vincentian
Research Fellow. Dr. Breslin has a diverse background as a teacher,
school administrator, curriculum developer, trainer, conference
facilitator and specialist in alcohol and substance abuse
prevention. She is the architect of Alcohol: the Gateway Drug,
school-based prevention program. Her research interest is in
Resilience. She holds a Ph.D. from New York University.
