Manhattan Campus participated in University Service Day. The
early shift served breakfast at the Church of the Nativity soup
kitchen and the second team served lunch at the same
site. They were led by Anilsa Nunez and Caneil McDonald,
respectively. The third team of volunteers, led by Sarina
Scollo, reported to St. Joseph's Church in Washington Sq. where
they delivered "meals on foot" to homebound residents in the
community. Manhattan did not stop with "a day" to make a
difference.
All week they are continuing to celebrate the Feast of St.
Vincent. On Tuesday, the 27th, they are hosting a Blood Drive,
on Wednesday 28th a Card making day for children with AIDS;
Thursday 29th, they will gather all the volunteers for the week for
a Pizza Party. What a difference each day makes, St. John's
Serves in Manhattan.
