Staten Island

On September 25, 2004 more than 60 students, faculty, staff and administrators gathered in the Cafeteria of the Staten Island Campus to celebrate the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul and make a difference in the lives of many as they volunteered at five different service sites. The volunteers began their day with breakfast and a short prayer led by Fr. Michael Carroll, Vice President for Branch Campuses.

There were a total of five sites that the Staten Island Campus volunteered in. The sites were Good Counsel Home for Single Mothers, Project Hospitality, Clove Lakes Park, Carmel Nursing Home and Lily Pond Nursing Home. The day came to an end at 2 o'clock when the volunteers reunited at the cafeteria for lunch and to talk about their experience of service.
