Academic Recognition
The Fulbright Program, the U.S. government’s flagship program in international educational exchange, this past year recognized the quality of our academic programs by awarding grants to five members of the St. John’s faculty, as well as to two graduate students. This is an impressive number of grants, given that only some 7,000 Fulbrights are awarded annually.
St. John’s School of Law continues to attract the best and the brightest. The incoming class has the highest academic credentials in the School’s history with a median LSAT score of 161 and a median GPA of 3.58. Additionally, 90% of the School’s graduates taking the New York State Bar Exam for the first time received a passing score, placing the School fifth among the State’s 15 law schools.
For the sixth year in a row, The Princeton Review listed St. John’s as one of the nation’s 368 best colleges (2009 edition), and for the third consecutive year, ranked The Peter J. Tobin College of Business as one of the nation’s best 290 business schools (2008 edition).
U.S. News & World Report ranked the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions among its 2008 top 100 Graduate Schools in Pharmacy and placed The School of Education among the top 100 graduate schools in education.
