Fall 2008 applications rose to a record of more than 40,000, an increase of 62 percent over the year prior, demonstrating the growing reputation of our programs.
During the 2007-2008 academic year the Office of Student Financial Services processed more than $355 million in financial assistance for 95 percent of the student body in the form of scholarships, loans, grants and work-study programs — an increase of 5.3 percent over last year.
Fall 2007 freshmen had the highest average SAT scores in the University’s history.
The number of students providing volunteer service of all kinds exceeded 10,000; students performed more than 125,000 hours of service during 2007-2008.
