In addition, Tobin expanded its
Executive-in-Residence
Program (EIRP) to St. John’s Rome campus to give business
students there the same opportunities their U.S. peers have to get
hands-on consulting experience with actual companies. EIRP
for-credit projects are conducted in a team-based environment under
the guidance of company executives from a wide list of
participating nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Academic
2006-2007 EIRP projects include proposing a strategy for raising
shareholder values for KeySpan, a global energy company that is now
part of National Grid, and helping metropolitan area nonprofit
Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey
come up with a plan to increase the number of employees with
disabilities.
