Elizabeth and Arthur J. Mirante II Esq., ’68L, ’98HON, believe
in the importance of service to others and family. Over the
years, they have spent time and resources to aid those in need,
always carefully balancing helping others with nurturing their own
family.
True to her spirit of generosity, Mrs. Mirante chose to give up
a successful career in the international fashion industry, both as
a model and fashion consultant, to support her husband’s career and
focus on personally raising the couple’s son, Matthew. She is
a devoted wife and mother with a profound sense of the value and
dignity of all people.
Mr. Mirante currently serves as President, Global Client
Development at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. He previously
served as CEO of Cushman & Wakefield for 20 years, providing
leadership during the global expansion of the firm and brokering
three of the most famous property sales in real estate industry
history, including the World Trade Center, 200 Park Avenue (for the
Metropolitan Life Insurance Company), and 666 Fifth Avenue.
An accomplished businessman, Mirante still finds time for his
commitment to philanthropy in the service of others. He has
helped to build the largest facility in the world dedicated to
dance for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Company as a pro bono
project and, in addition, has served for 10 years as President of
Just One Break, a non-profit employment agency serving the special
needs of workers with disabilities.
Elizabeth and Arthur J. Mirante II are inspirational examples of
the Vincentian mission of caring and compassion for others in
action.
