St. John's University announces that Conrado M. Gempesaw, Ph.D., Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, has been elected the 17th President of St. John’s University effective July 1, 2014.

February 24, 2014
Peter D'Angelo, chair, board of trustees; co-chair, presidential search committee, and Very Rev. Michael Carroll, C.M., vice chair, board of trustees; co-chair, presidential search committee announce that the committee has narrowed the number of presidential candidates.

December 16, 2013
The Presidential Search is underway with the completion of a series of open forums in which 220 members of the University community dialogued. An additional 100 community members provided their comments online. All of this feedback resulted in the Leadership Statement.

October 17, 2013
The University community is invited to participate in the Presidential Search Open Forum to give input on the essential characteristics that should be possessed by candidates for the University presidency.
