The New York Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors provided generous support for four Peter J. Tobin College of Business accounting students -- Vichapaht (James) Chotiyanonta, Cherly-Ann C. Marumahoko, Reed A. Sullivan, and Mian Wang -- to participate in the 2017 Internal Auditing Education Partnership Program Leadership and Networking Conference on Sept. 22-24 in Orlando, Fla.
The students were accompanied by Associate Professor of Accountancy David Y. Chan, Ph.D., director of the Internal Auditing Education Partnership Program at Tobin. They participated in a case competition, and had opportunities to network, and to interview for full time positions in internal audit and risk advisory.
Sullivan was on the Chipotle team that won second prize in the case competition, while Marumahoko was on the Amazon team that won third prize. As members of prize-winning teams, each received a gift card, courtesy of KPMG US LLP.
The auditing program at Tobin is one of only 23 worldwide to be recognized as an Internal Audit Comprehensive Level Program in the Institute of Internal Auditors Internal Auditing Education Partnership Program.
