Scholarship
I am currently working on articles related to distribution of
health care. One is entitled, “What Does Society Owe Those in
Minimal Conscious States?” and will be published in the Journal of
the Society of Christian Ethics. Another looks at rehabilitation
issues surrounding our wounded soldiers. In addition, I am
researching justice issues as they relate to women and
globalization.

Catholic World. In addition I have chapters in the books
Considering Religious Traditions Bioethics :Christian and Jewish
Voices and Symposium on Health Care Ethics.
Professional Activities:
I serve on the ethics committee of The Foundling Hospital in New
York City. I also serve as one of the Holy See’s
representatives at the United Nations on women’s
issues.
Program Appearances
I have numerous presentations at national and international
conferences including: Annual Meeting of the Society of Christian
Ethics, American Academy of Religion, International Conference on
Guadium et Spes, International Conference of Catholic Moral
Theologians, American Society of Bioethics and the Humanities,
International Conference Promoting Business Ethics, Association of
Practical and Professional Ethics, as well as many local and
regional television shows and programs and several hospital grand
rounds.
