Hostos Community College spoke on "The Role of Community Colleges in
Empowering Latinos for Success.”

Morning  keynote speaker Dr. Eduardo Marti, President of Queensborough Community College spoke eloquently on the important role community colleges have in the educational lives of many immigrants and their children.
Janice D. Villiers, Esq., Associate Professor, School of Law, chaired the discussion of law.
Dr. Judith Stern Torres gave a presentation on 
“Recruiting Minority Teachers to Education.”
Dr. Frank Biafora, Associate Dean of the Graduate Division of Arts and Sciences, gave the closing remarks.
Juanita E. Wing, Esq. discussed “Family Law Issues and the Latino Population."
