Professor Anne Cavolo Tedesco (Music, Department of Fine Arts) received the 2004 Teaching Excellence Award for adjunct faculty. The award was presented at the Queens campus Commencement on May 16. Prof. Tedesco also performed as pianist soloist on March 2 at the Hofstra Cultural Center, Joseph Aston International Concert Series. Ms. Tedesco performed music by Chopin, Brahms, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Gliere and Mussorgsky.

Professor Dan Ault (Department of Fine Arts) will exhibit his art work "Self-Portrait" at The Bertoni Gallery, 1392 Kings Highway, Sugar Loaf, NY May 27 to June 27 2004. An opening reception will be held June 12 from 4 - 8pm.

Linda Butti (Department of Fine Arts) exhibited new work in three group shows in East Hampton, Long Island: Guild Hall, May - June 5, Ashwagh Hall May 8 and May 9, Springs Improvement Society May 28 - May 31.

Glenn Statile (Department of Philosophy) read a paper entitled, "Omega and the Fate of the Universe" at The New York Institute of Technology on Thursday, April 22.

Professor Stephanie Navon Jacobson (Department of Fine Arts) is exhibiting work for the Art League of Long Island at the Bryant Library, 2 Paper Mill Road, Roslyn. The show entitled, "A Closer Look" and will run through July 4, 2004.
