The plan has two major components:

Academic support classrooms and study space for student-athletes
    • Office and meeting space for Recreation and Intramural Sports
    • Audio/visual rooms for all varsity athletic teams
    • Dedicated locker rooms for both student recreation and Men's and Women's basketball
New offices and meeting rooms for Men's and Women's basketball
    •  Weight Training and Medical Training Rooms
  • Alumni Hall and University Center renovations, which will include:
    • A 6400 sq. ft. Health Center in Alumni Hall, for use by Student Life and Athletics, including weight training equipment, aerobics and dance studios and a student lounge
    • The reclamation of approximately 2,800 sq. ft. in the University Center for use by Student Life, which currently serves as a weight training facility for the University community. This space will be converted into office and meeting space for Student Life and Academic Clubs
    • Office and meeting space for Student Life and Academic Clubs

The Athletic Field House will provide a place for all students to exercise mind and body as well as giving St. John's the kind of facility it needs to stay competitive as it develops a more national reputation.
