Christopher Newton '13, an attorney with Queens Legal Services Corp. and an alumni of the Law School's Consumer Justice for the Elderly: Litigation Clinic, was on hand for a recent press conference called by NYC council members to raise awareness of banks' refusal to properly consider loan modifications for homeowners facing foreclosure, and the banks' failure to send representatives with authority to negotiate to court-run settlement conferences.
