Entrepreneurs have a keen ability to see what’s new, what’s now, and—more importantly—what’s next.
As a Catholic and Vincentian University, St. John’s teaches students that knowledge is especially meaningful when used to make the world a better place. This view is evident in the achievements of the 10 graduates profiled below. Though they earned their degrees less than a decade ago, they are already having a positive impact at work and in their communities.
Tobin Graduate Reception and CEO Seminar Series
The Peter J. Tobin College of Business Graduate Reception and CEO Seminar Series got off to a rousing start on Saturday night, Sept. 16, with almost 200 alumni, graduate students, faculty, staff and their guests in attendence.

Tobin College of Business, will honor Constantine “Dinos” Iordanou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Arch Capital Group Ltd., as the “2017 Insurance Leader of the Year” at its 23rd Annual Insurance Leader of the Year Award Dinner.

At a ceremony held at St. John’s University’s Queens campus, St. John’s signed an articulation agreement with Queensborough Community College that creates a seamless transfer process for Queensborough students seeking a bachelor’s degree at the University.

Following the mission of St. John’s University and in the footsteps of St. Vincent de Paul, Marilyn Dono-Koulouris, Ed.D, Associate Professor, Staten Island Campus Discover New York (DNY) Program Coordinator, is the 2017 recipient of The Academic Service-Learning Faculty Award, awarded at the Faculty Convocation on August 29th on the Queens campus.
