Dedicating a permanent memorial to a towering figure in Red Storm and American basketball history, St. John’s University unveiled an 11-foot-six-inch bronze statue of the late and legendary men’s basketball Coach Joe Lapchick.

Student Travel Grants Open Hearts and Minds
Thanks to the generosity of alumni, three sixth-year Pharm.D. students in St. John’s University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences traveled last October with the Glens Falls Medical Mission Foundation to establish and operate a one-week makeshift medical clinic in Nueva Santa Rosa, Guatemala, an underserved community near Guatemala City—and they all agree it proved to be a life-changing experience.

Serving Those Who Struggle: Daniel Lydon and Raymond DiGiuseppe, Ph.D.
Daniel Lydon was a freshman at the State University of New York at Albany when he chose his life’s work. “At first,” he said, “I didn’t know what I wanted to do. An introductory psychology course changed that.”
St. John’s Students Succeed at FOX Sports University Challenge
Students in St. John’s University’s Sport Management program gained real-world experience last semester by pitching executives from the FOX Sports Brand Activation Team unique and creative ways to connect brands with fans during the 2019 US Open in Pebble Beach, CA, and the 2019 US Women’s Open in Charleston, SC.
