On the occasion of the release of our Spring newsletter, I would like to share some reflections by travelling back to our first newsletter in Fall 2016 in which I referred to one of my favorite quotes from Kurt Lewin (paraphrased): it takes a lot of theory to make a good practice. Staten Island Campus and CANVAS Institute Present Pan-African Library Launch
The CANVAS Institute and St. John’s University celebrated Black History Month with the launch of a Pan-African Library and Pan-African Library Book Catalogue on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 3 p.m. on the Staten Island campus. The launch of the library provides the Staten Island community with a unique resource to explore Pan-Africanism, and to celebrate Black history.
