Research is an essential part of the faculty’s contribution to the Tobin College of Business. Our faculty are continuously engaging in impactful research, influencing the fields in which they teach and inspiring their students to build upon their textbook knowledge.
This past May, our successful Global Destination Courses (GDC) travelled to Germany, Switzerland, Rome, Paris and London. Students were able to meet high level executives from these various countries and experienced the diverse cultures and cuisines offered to them on these exciting and educational trips.

The Tobin College of Business’ Department of Accounting and Taxation recognized the academic achievements of its diligent students during its Ninth Annual Academic and Service Awards Convocation on Friday, May 16, 2013, in the D’Angelo Center on the Queens campus.
The St. John’s University Theta Chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Economics Honor Society, held its 52nd annual induction ceremony at the annual Economics and Finance Department Dinner on Monday, May 5, 2014 on the Queens Campus.
On Saturday, May 3, 2014, students from the TCB sophomore and senior management classes presented their consulting projects to executives and Board members of Advancement Matters and the Interfaith Nutrition Network.

An internet-based service application that increases efficiency for trade shows and a martial arts afterschool program were among the business ideas being pitched by budding entrepreneurs who competed for $16,000 in prizes during this year’s Fifth Annual James and Eileen Christmas Business Plan Competition and Expo on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm in the D’Angelo Center, Queens Campus.
