Hundreds Attend Professor Mark L. Movsesian’s Talk on Mideast Christians at the Lanier Theological Library

Earlier this month, Mark L. Movsesian, the Frederick A. Whitney Professor of Contract Law and director of the Center for Law and Religion at St. John's Law, gave a talk on Religious Freedom for Mideast Christians: Yesterday and Today before a standing-room-only audience at the Lanier Theological Library in Houston, TX.
Religious freedom is a “fundamental right of man, reflecting his highest dignity” and “an indispensible condition for fully realizing human potential.”

Pope Francis received the participants in the Rome conference on “International Religious Liberty and the Global Clash of Values" hosted by St. John's Center for Law and Religion and Center for International and Comparative Law with the Department of Law at the Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta (LUMSA).
On June 20-21, 2014, the Law School’s Center for International and Comparative Law and Center for Law and Religion will team with the Department of Law at the Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta (LUMSA) to present an academic conference, “International Religious Freedom and the Global Clash of Values.”
