Last week, Professor Kate Levine accepted the seventh annual Fred C. Zacharias Memorial Prize for Scholarship in Professional Responsibility for her article, “Who Shouldn't Prosecute the Police,” 101 Iowa L. Rev. 1447 (2016).

Vice Dean Larry Cunningham was in Cambodia for four weeks this fall as a participant in the Fulbright Specialist Program, which sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at academic institutions abroad.
“There are a lot of veterans out there who are really suffering,” said Dan Libby ’09Ph.D., Founder and Executive Director of the Veterans Yoga Project (VYP). “But if you can teach somebody a practice that helps them feel a little less pain—it makes it all worthwhile.”

Stephen Mildenhall joined the School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science as a member of the research faculty in August. The allocation makes use of the Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE), a virtual system for scientists to share computing resources, data, and expertise.
The first meeting of the Center for Law and Religion’s Tradition Project took place on October 20-22, 2016, bringing together legal scholars, judges, political theorists, historians, and journalists for a sustained round-table discussion “Tradition in Law and Politics.”
