St. John’s University is preparing students for greater career opportunities through the launch of new graduate programs that put advanced education within reach for working adults.
Highlighting the role universities play in promoting global entrepreneurship, Katia Passerini, Ph.D., Dean, College of Professional Studies, joined a panel of business, political, and academic leaders at United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan for the International Council for Small Business, Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) Knowledge Summit Day.
Rick Klein, the Political Director at ABC News, drew upon his two decades of experience as a reporter to share insights with St. John’s students pursuing journalism and related degrees during an academic forum on April 24 at the Queens, NY, campus.
“Being exposed to different ways of life— and different outlooks on life— is very important to anyone’s development,” observed Cammi Roberts ’18Ed while discussing her Study Abroad experience.
In January 2017, 13 CPS Seniors participated in the Dean’s International Opportunities Program in Paris, France. This unique global experience sponsored by the Office of Global Studies and the College of Professional Students was led by Associate Professor Jeffrey P. Grossmann and Adjunct Professor Daphne Grossmann.
As a child, Carmine P. Gibaldi, Ed.D. ’77C, ’79 M.B.A., Associate Professor of Administration and Economics, saw how much a job affects someone’s well-being.
Ozanam Scholars examine and seek solutions to real-world social justice issues, conduct research, complete a capstone project in their senior year, and travel around the world to serve those in need.
For the 20-year-old journalism major, the experience became one of self-discovery.
In pursuit of continued academic excellence and student success, St. John’s has appointed three respected scholars with solid records of leadership in higher education.
