Five faculty members spanning four departments have secured scholarship funding for SJU undergraduates as part of the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) Program.
Faculty and students from across St. John’s University presented multidisciplinary research at the 2016 International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference (IWAC).
The College welcomes six new full-time faculty members for the 2016-2017 academic year.
The American Chemical Society (ACS) Committee on Minority Affairs bestows the award on institutions or individuals that help students from underrepresented backgrounds to succeed in the chemical sciences.
This year, the SJU ACS chapter has received multiple recognitions for its activities and leadership.
“When the fellowship announcement came across my desk, the first person I thought of was Anthony,” Hyslop said. “He embodies St. John's values of excellence and service, and he’ll undoubtedly inspire students to succeed and enjoy science.”
