Record-setting number of Johnnies honored for academic excellence.
For the 11th time in program history, the St. John's volleyball team has been honored with the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.
Gelman was one of just 12 coaches chosen to help lead the USA Fencing team in Rio. This will be his fifth career, and fifth-straight trip to the Olympics as one of the coaches of the USA Fencing team.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above.
St. John’s alumnae both finished top-six in their respective events.
Defender led Red Storm in minutes played this past season.
