When 140 alumni and friends of St. John’s University came together for a day of golf at the Nassau Country Club, they were looking to do more than simply improve their handicap or shoot for that elusive hole-in-one. They were teeing off to support The Long Island Alumni Golf Outing Scholarship Fund, an initiative established in 1999 to provide financial assistance to some of St. John’s most deserving students.
Members of The McCallen Society enjoy reminiscing about the past – but they can’t help but keep tomorrow’s students at the forefront. And at The McCallen Society Annual Recognition Mass and Luncheon, St. John’s University thanked these generous donors for all that they do.

The symposium attracted a group of leading scientists from the industrial and academic worlds to the Queens campus of St. John’s University, where they discussed the latest research and potential applications of this year’s topic “Emerging Technologies in the Development of Nanoparticulate Systems.”
