Friends and supporters of the St. John's basketball programs packed The Metropolitan Club in New York City on Tuesday night for the department's annual "An Evening with St. John's Basketball" dinner, which raised significant funds to help facilitate student-athlete success in the classroom and on the hardwood.

The annual fundraiser brought together a number of St. John's dignitaries and honored guests under one roof, including four members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Men's Basketball Head Coach Chris Mullin, Assistant Coach Mitch Richmond, former Head Coach Lou Carnesecca and the night's honored guest and keynote speaker, Bill Walton.

In addition to those legendary basketball figures, beloved broadcaster and former Seton Hall coach Bill Raftery emceed the event, recalling a number of humorous stories from his dealings with St. John's basketball throughout the years while facilitating the evening's program.

Interim Athletic Director Kathleen Meehan kicked off the evening with some introductory remarks, welcoming the room's distinguished guests and setting the tone for a night full of energy and optimism about the future of St. John's Basketball.

Following Meehan's words, Raftery stepped to the microphone to moderate a question-and-answer session with Mullin, Women's Basketball Head Coach Joe Tartamella, Sandra Udobi, Tamesha Alexander, Malik Ellison, Bashir Ahmed and Justin Simon.
