TCB Professor Recognized by the New York State Society of CPAs for His Commitment to Education
On Thursday, May 19, 2016, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants presented Adrian P. Fitzsimons, Ph.D., professor of accounting and taxation, with the Dr. Emanuel Saxe Outstanding CPA in Education award during its annual dinner.
The award pays tribute to outstanding individuals who have demonstrated a passion for the profession and who have dedicated their life’s work to providing an educational foundation for future generations of CPAs.
Dr. Fitzsimons has been a leader and innovator in accounting education, as well as at the New York State Society of CPAs, for thirty years. He has been the driving force behind the success of the accounting programs at St. John’s for decades and his tireless work has led to the success of thousands of students and alumni.
