SJU's Harin Lee Named BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Year

After winning the conference championship for the second time in her career, St. John’s University senior Harin Lee ’14C was named the 2014 BIG EAST Women’s Golfer of the Year.

After winning the conference championship for the second time in her career, St. John’s University senior Harin Lee ’14C was named the 2014 BIG EAST Women’s Golfer of the Year.

Lee earned the honors after securing her spot as the all-time winningest woman golfer in Red Storm history after carding a 226 (+10) on April 19 at the conference tournament in Daytona Beach, FL. Lee took home her first title as a freshman in 2011, when she was crowned BIG EAST Freshman of the Year.

Earning nine individual titles, Lee has posted a 75.08 career stroke average through 97 events during her four years at SJU—including a 76.77 average this season. She finished among the Top 10 in five of her nine events.

Sophomore Anna Kim ’17TCB also was named an All-BIG EAST member after an impressive first year. This season, she posted a 77.15 stroke average, including three Top-10 finishes and a tie for first place at the 2014 Pirate Invitational. She tied for second place at the 2014 BIG EAST Championship, carding a 73 (+1) in the final round. She finished with a 229 (+229).
