New York City Schools Chancellor to Deliver 2014 Carol Gresser Lecture
Chancellor Carmen Fariña, leader of New York City’s public school system, will deliver the Spring 2014 Carol Gresser Forum Lecture at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16.
The lecture, entitled “100 Days and Beyond,” will take place in The Cooper Union’s historic Great Hall, directly across the street from St. John’s new Manhattan campus at Astor Place in lower Manhattan. The event is open to all University faculty, staff, and administrators.
A special wine and cheese reception will immediately follow Ms. Fariña’s lecture. The Great Hall of The Cooper Union is located at 7 East Seventh Street, between Third and Fourth Avenues in New York City. Established in 1998, the Carol Gresser Forum features presentations by leading professionals who have made a lasting impact on education locally, nationally, and internationally. The event is named for Carol Gresser ’59Ed, former president of the New York City Board of Education.
