Elisa Garcia handles the big jobs for the big companies. She helped usher the Boca Raton, Fla.-based office-supply chain Office Depot Inc. through its November merger with Office Max Inc., a $1.2 billion transaction that had to clear antitrust regulators. In December, Garcia rose from general counsel to chief legal officer, a job in which she oversees regulatory, compliance and government-affairs matters. Previously general counsel at Domino's Pizza Inc. and in-house at Philip Morris International Inc., Garcia serves on the board of the Institute of Inclusion in the Legal Profession and as an advisory member for the Corporate Pro Bono Institute.
