Best-Selling Author Rev. James Martin, S.J., to Speak at St. John's
Rev. James Martin, S.J., editor-at-large of America magazine, popular media commentator, and New York Times bestselling author of The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything, will be joining the St. John’s University community on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 7 p.m. in St. Thomas More Church to discuss his new book, Jesus, a Pilgrimage. In the book, Fr. Martin brings the Gospels to life and invites believers and seekers alike to experience Jesus through Scripture, prayer, and travel. Through insights into both the historical Jesus and the Christ of faith, Fr. Martin walks the reader through Jesus’s life and draws connections to our everyday lives.
Fr. Martin joins our campus community during the season of Lent, a traditional time of reflection and spiritual growth. Join Campus Ministry in any of their Lenten programs as a way to Come, Listen, and Journey during these 40 days.
Please RSVP for this event by March 28, 2014.
