MEDIA RELATIONS

Media Relations seeks to promote St. John’s University, its academic initiatives, student and faculty accomplishments, and its work to enhance our community through the media.  The Office handles all publicity efforts for the University in dealing with local, national and international print, TV, radio and Internet opportunities. All external communication involving press releases, press conferences, media interview requests, publicity driven-event coordination and academic programming initiatives, as well as University statements about topical subject matter for media consideration, come from Media Relations.

On a recent visit to St. John’s University’s Rome, Italy, campus, President Conrado “Bobby” Gempesaw, Ph.D., had the opportunity to discuss the University’s enduring Vincentian mission and the unique experiential learning that takes place at St. John’s, known as academic service-learning, with Juliet Linley, Vatican Correspondent for EWTN, the Global Catholic Television Network which broadcasts in 140 countries.

The Peter J. Tobin College of Business’s Eta Mu Chapter of the international honor organization for financial information students and professionals, Beta Alpha Psi, has been named a Distinguished Chapter for its outstanding efforts during the 2016-17 academic year.
