An original play about Beat author Jack Kerouac, who visited
Asbury Park with his girlfriend in the 1940s, will be performed at
Ocean Grove’s Starving Artist restaurant on Saturday, Nov. 17.
“I hope people get a sense of Kerouac because to me he was a
great dichotomy,” said Larry Myers, professor of speech and theater
at St. John’s University, who is coordinating the event.
