The alumni discussed their careers, tracing pathways through law firms, businesses and organizations in the private and public sectors and sharing how and why they moved from one job to another for greater opportunity and satisfaction. They also touched on topics such as:

  • Interviewing tips
  • How to be a stand-out applicant
  • Diversity in the workplace
  • Differences between in-house counsel positions and law firm work
  • Progressing from summer associate to associate to partner

The evening ended with a dynamic Q&A session and an informal meet-and-greet over dim sum.

An annual event, the spring career panel is just one of many programs APALSA holds throughout the year to educate and inform students. To learn more, please check the Law School event calendar and contact APALSA.
