Colloquium
on Building Communities: The Future of Citizenship was held on
March 15, 2012. Graduate students Ms. Janice Shaman and Ms.
Alison Corbacio explored the historical development of
citizenship and examined the future of citizenship in globalized
economy and ever integrating societies in the context of
information and communication technologies. Mr. Asif Prabst
Amin, diplomat at the Danish Mission at the United Nations,
responded to the position papers; he commended the scholarship and
the insights addressed by Ms. Shaman and Ms. Corbacio. 
A lively
discussion from the floor followed.
