The 21st Century is the Age of Technology, and St. John's
University prepares students for leadership in this brave new
world.
Students at St. John's enjoy a high-tech education thanks
largely to support from the Department of Information Technology.
The Department is responsible for computing, communications,
information and wireless network services for students,
faculty and staff throughout the University community.
St. John's Laptop Program, providing wireless
laptop computers for all new students, is a central part of the
University's commitment to a 21st century education. In addition to
overseeing and implementing the program,
Information Technology offers students technical
support for their laptops.
The University's high-tech approach to education has won
significant acclaim. For example, St. John's is the only private
university in the New York area ranked in Intel’s Top 100 Wireless
Universities. St. John's also was honored with inclusion
in the Computerworld Honors Program – Search For New Heroes.
We invite you to learn more about technology at St. John's, and
