The Student Course Evaluation (SCE) system at St. John’s
University is used to gauge the effectiveness of several classroom
components, including: Course Organization and Planning,
Communication, Faculty-Student Interaction,
Assignments/Exams/Grading, Instructional Methods, Course Outcomes,
Student Effort and Involvement, and Course Difficulty/Work
Load/Pace. Furthermore, in an effort to enhance the classroom
experience, it is an essential tool used to identify areas for
professional development. Participating in the SCE ensures that
students’ feedback influences the academic quality of our programs
going forward. Therefore, students are highly encouraged to support
this ongoing initiative.
