Soon to rise on the Queens campus will be a 110,000 sq. ft. University Center-Academic Center designed to enhance the learning environment and student life on campus. The new state-of-the-art, 3-story structure will include 14 classrooms with a total of 800 seats, plus a cafe, lounge, recreation/entertainment space, student organization offices and meeting/conference rooms for students. The design of this building will incorporate many energy-saving mechanical/electrical systems and when possible, use low impact environmental materials and finishes. It is scheduled to come on line in 2009.
