Brij Anand currently serves as Vice President
of Campus Facilities and Services. He has campus-wide
responsibility for Real Estate, Capital Improvements, Facilities
Management, Conference Services and Auxiliary Services.
Mr. Anand joined the University in 2005. Previously, Mr. Anand
spent over 30 years in the private sector, most of which were in
various positions within the National Broadcasting Company (NBC).
There, his various roles included Managing Director of Long Range
Planning, Director of Facilities Planning and Construction and
Director of Facilities Management of Broadcast and ‘On-Air’
operations.
During his years at NBC, Mr. Anand spearheaded a successful
search for two million square feet of space to construct a
state-of-the-art broadcasting and production facility for the
company across the tri-state area. This effort also enhanced and
permanently established NBC headquarters and broadcast
productions/operations at 30 Rockefeller Plaza (currently known as
the G.E. Building). Prior to his career at NBC, Mr. Anand helped
construct oil tankers at the Brooklyn Naval Yard.
A graduate with distinction in mechanical and electrical
engineering from Vikram University, India, Mr. Anand earned a
master’s degree in Management from Polytechnic Institute of NY. He
has a daughter, a son and three grandchildren and resides in
Franklin Lakes, NJ.
