Book presentation of La leyenda de la isla sin voz, the latest novel by Vanessa Montfort, the well-known Spanish writer, in an interview with Dr. Marie-Lise Gazarian. The story takes place in Blackwell's Island, today known as Roosevelt Island. The novel, just published in Spain, is being translated into English.

Created on April 17, 1964, Epsilon Kappa has brought to the University some of the most famous literary figures from both Spain and Latin America. It has also created a bilingual literary journal, Entre Rascacielos, now in its 23 volume, which has served as a stepping board to promote creative writing in Spanish on and off campus. Dr. Marie-Lise Gazarian, moderator of St. John’s Chapter and Vice President for the Northeast of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Hispanic Honor Society, is the Director of the Graduate Program in Spanish. She is known for her televised interviews with Hispanic writers as well as her live programs with students.uf
