Mexico’s foremost poet, novelist, environmentalist, former President of PEN International

 

El Poeta Niño y el Cine Apolo/The Child Poet and the Movie Theatre Apollo

 

One of the world’s foremost literary figures and Mexico’s greatest living poet, Homero Aridjis is the author of more than fifty books of poetry and prose. His work has been translated into numerous languages. He has been the recipient of many prestigious international awards and distinctions. Homero Aridjis has served as Mexico’s ambassador to the Netherlands and Switzerland and as President of International PEN from 1997 to 2003. He has also served as Mexico’s Ambassador to UNESCO from 2007 to 2010.
